Pavani Parvati Melton is an independent woman who wants to pursue higher education in the USA. She is in a committed relationship with Ritesh Sharwanand, the son of a millionaire and a popular classmate. Ritesh is intelligent and well-liked, but his circle soon drifts him toward hostility, jealousy, and campus politics, a path steered by Sayeed Ravi Varma, a fellow student who is also secretly interested in Pavani. Sayeed introduces Ritesh to smoking, drinking, and college politics, pulling him away from Pavani and away from the path she hoped for. Pavani tries to guide him toward responsibility but finds it difficult; she makes several attempts to salvage the relationship, yet Ritesh’s entanglement with those vices persists. Eventually, she chooses to end things for good, and she moves to the US to keep away from him.

During a celebration of her upcoming departure with friends, Pavani meets Naveen Raja and his group, who also gain admission to the same university. Naveen and his friends encounter culture shock as they adjust to life in the US, facing the usual challenges of campus life, part-time work, and the expectations of a new environment. They cross paths with Pachalla Paramanandam [Brahmanandam], the warm-hearted Indian restaurant owner who becomes a familiar face in their lives. Sayeed, now aware of Pavani’s strained relationship with Ritesh, watches their moves with a calculating eye.

Sayeed tries to manipulate Pavani and Ritesh’s life to satisfy his ego, fabricating stories and planting doubts. He lies about Pavani’s relationship with Naveen to fan jealousy and confusion. As Pavani and Naveen grow closer, Sayeed orchestrates a more direct attack by bringing Ritesh to the United States on a student visa to sabotage their budding bond. At the same time, Ritesh’s father makes a bid to win Pavani over by offering a future inheritance—the kind of wealth that could be shared after an arranged marriage—yet Pavani rejects the tempting proposition, choosing independence and her own path.

The father’s warning about luck, privilege, and the ease of life that comes with wealth falls on deaf ears as Ritesh spirals into hostility and insecurity. He becomes consumed by the idea that he was used and wronged, and his sense of reality begins to crumble when he discovers morphed images of Pavani. The tension explodes as Ritesh murders Sayeed on the university campus and then attacks Pavani and Naveen in their car when they return from work. In a tense moment, Ritesh opens fire on Naveen, who is saved by the arrival of police and an ambulance that reach the scene just in time.

Ultimately, the film underscores how easy it is for someone to stumble into bad company and let ego, jealousy, and manipulation drive actions toward ruin, offering a cautionary tale about the consequences of choices made in the heat of passion and the dangers of getting entangled with people who pull you away from your true self.
