Valiant

In May 1944, during World War II, three Royal Homing Pigeon Service war pigeons bravely fly over the English Channel. The iconic White Cliffs of Dover come into view as they carry crucial messages to Great Britain.

As the pigeons approach their destination, they are unexpectedly ambushed by a German falcon named General Von Talon. Tragically, two of the pigeons are killed in the attack, while the third is captured and becomes a prisoner of war.

Meanwhile, a young wood pigeon named Valiant watches an Allied forces propaganda film in a makeshift bar located in an overturned rowing boat in West Nestington. Inspired by Wing Commander Gutsy's announcement for new recruits, he decides to sign up for the Royal Homing Pigeon Service.

At Von Talon's lair, the captured pigeon Mercury faces brutal interrogation. Despite the harsh treatment, he bravely resists revealing any information until he accidentally lets slip the location of Saint-Pierre.

With a heavy heart, Valiant bids farewell to his mother and the local barman Felix before heading to London. This marks the beginning of his journey full of challenges in service of his country.

In London, Valiant meets Bugsy, a scruffy pigeon with a price on his head, who soon decides to join him. They are later joined by Lofty, an astute red pigeon, and the twin brothers Toughwood and Tailfeather, forming Squad F.

Squad F begins their rigorous training under the supervision of a tough Sergeant. Throughout this process, Valiant develops feelings for Victoria, a kind and caring nursing dove.

As the squad's departure for their mission approaches, Wing Commander Gutsy informs them that they must set off urgently, despite the fact that their training remains incomplete. This urgency adds to the tension of their mission.

The squad boards an aircraft headed for France, but their journey becomes perilous when the plane comes under heavy enemy fire. They are forced to parachute out in boxes, leading to an intense situation where Gutsy suffers a tragic mishap.

Upon landing in France, the pigeons meet Charles De Girl and Rollo, resourceful mice from the French Resistance. Rollo guides them to their target, Saint-Pierre, as they plan their next move.

Tragedy strikes again when Bugsy is captured by General Von Talon, who seizes the vital message intended for Great Britain. This event heightens the stakes for Valiant and his comrades as they plan a rescue mission.

In a daring move, Valiant uses his agility to stealthily infiltrate Von Talon's fortress. He successfully retrieves the critical message and manages to free both Bugsy and Mercury from captivity.

As Valiant and his friends make their escape, they are pursued by the falcons sent by Von Talon. Gutsy and the others engage in a fierce fight against the henchmen, allowing Valiant to push forward with the message.

After returning home, Valiant confronts Von Talon once again. With help from his mother and Felix, he devises a plan that leads to Von Talon's spectacular defeat, ultimately saving the day.

Valiant triumphantly delivers the vital message, which earns him the prestigious Dickin Medal. Following this honor, Squad F returns to the bar in West Nestington, where Valiant joyfully reunites with Victoria.
