The Adventures of Panda Warrior

Jinbao is not the Panda Warrior of legend. The true Panda Warrior was his grandfather, who came to Merryland long ago, defeated the celestial whale Hope after it absorbed too much of the Dragon Ball of Light, and returned to Earth with a necklace from Princess Angelica. The prophecy refers to an Earth-born warrior, and Jinbao learns this history from Lion King at the rebellion headquarters.

Jinbao's grandfather previously gave him the mysterious necklace from Merryland, hinting at his past connection to the land.

Hope is a celestial whale who guards Merryland alongside Faith. Together they protect the kingdom by absorbing the Dragon Ball of Light. However, an evil rat from Earth infiltrates Merryland, seizes Hope's body, and transforms her into a giant nine-headed monster that enslaves the land. After the nine-headed snake is defeated, what remains of Hope is restored and rejoins Faith in the sky.

The spirit later uses it again during the final battle to weaken the Nine-Headed Snake and to revive the corrupted rebels and Cattle.

The rebels exploited the snake's weakness to daylight by attacking at dawn. Each rebel targeted a different head in a coordinated assault: Cotton Sheep Sister took the Wind Head, Horse the Water Head, Mantis the Ice Head, Big-Eared Rabbit the Fire Head, Big-Eyed Monkey the Electric Head, Flying Pig the Poison Head, Golden Retriever the Spear Head, and Steel Mouth Chicken the Bewitching Head. Jinbao delivered the decisive blow to the main head while the Ginseng Spirit used the Song of Peace to weaken the beast.

After the Nine-Headed Snake is destroyed by the rebels' coordinated attack, the malevolent rat that had possessed Hope and transformed her into the nine-headed monster escapes from Merryland. The Ginseng Spirit then purifies Cattle using the Song of Peace, freeing him from the evil influence. After being cleansed, Cattle chooses to join the rebels in their mission to rescue Princess Angelica.

The Dragon Ball of Light is a powerful artifact that guards Merryland. It is held by the celestial whale Hope, who absorbs it to protect the kingdom. However, when Hope absorbs too much of its energy, she becomes unstable, which is what allowed Jinbao's grandfather to defeat her in the past. In the final scene, Princess Angelica awards the Dragon Ball of Light to the heroes as a symbol of their victory, and Hope and Faith vow to continue safeguarding Merryland.
