On a dark and rainy night, Michelle Mancini is driving her pickup truck while listening to a college campus radio DJ. Her night takes a turn for the worse when she nearly collides with another car, realizing she is almost out of gas and decides to stop at a creepy gas station.

At the gas station, Michelle meets a strange-looking attendant who offers to fill her truck up. He insists that her credit card is not working, convincing her to come inside to contact the credit card company, where she discovers that no one is on the other line.

Feeling threatened by the attendant's stuttering behavior, Michelle sprays mace in his face and bolts back to her truck. As she speeds away from the gas station, the attendant screams after her that someone is in the back seat of her truck.

Meanwhile, at Pendleton University, student Parker Riley recounts the 'Stanley Hall Massacre' urban legend from 25 years ago. Two students, Natalie and Brenda, listen as they dismiss the tale while waiting for Parker's girlfriend, Sasha, to finish her radio broadcast.

Natalie and Brenda venture toward the abandoned Stanley Hall dorm, opting to chant 'Bloody Mary' for fun. They are interrupted by Damon Brooks, who mocks them for their daring decision to enter the boarded-up building.

After a series of events, Natalie and Brenda find themselves separated from their friends. When Natalie goes off with Damon to talk, he is suddenly attacked while she seeks help. The killer retrieves Damon, choking him to death as Natalie struggles to escape.

Following the chilling disappearance of Damon, Natalie discovers Tosh dead in their dorm room with a grisly message written on the wall. With everyone believing it was a suicide, Natalie is determined to uncover the truth, suspecting a link to the urban legends.

Natalie teams up with Paul to investigate the mysterious deaths and the urban legend surrounding Stanley Hall. They confront Dean Adams about the past but are met with resistance as he brushes off their concerns.

At a fraternity party hosted by Parker, Natalie has a moment with Paul, leading to a kiss that ignites romantic feelings. However, the atmosphere turns dire when Parker is suddenly attacked and killed gruesomely by the killer in the bathroom.

As chaos unfolds, Sasha is chased by the killer at the radio station. Hearing her screams over the radio, Natalie rushes to help, but tragically arrives too late, witnessing Sasha's brutal death.

Natalie discovers that Brenda is part of the horror unfolding. As they search for help after a shocking discovery of Wexler's body, they realize Brenda may be one of the last remaining threats, leading to a tense confrontation.
