Upside Down

Adam grows up in an orphanage in Down Below with his great-aunt Becky visiting weekly. Becky's secret pollen pancake recipe, which uses pollen from pink bees, is a family heirloom that will be inherited by Adam. The division between Up Top and Down Below shapes his early world.

As a child, Adam climbs the near-Up Top mountain and meets Eden from Up Top. They fall for each other and explore the woods, but their meeting is discovered; Adam drags Eden toward Down with a rope and later releases her back. He sustains an arm injury when a bullet strikes him, and he watches Eden lie motionless as blood oozes from her head.

Returning home in chaos, Adam finds his great-aunt Becky arrested and their home burned to the ground. The incident leaves him alone in Down Below and hardens his resolve to change his world. The memory of Eden's fate haunts him as he grows up.

Ten years pass and Adam develops an anti-gravity product that lets matter respond to both gravitational fields at once, framed as a cosmetic cream for face-lifts. He pursues a path that could bridge the two worlds, motivated by the memory of Eden. The project catches the attention of Trans-world, setting his plan in motion.

Adam sees Eden on a TV program and learns that she is alive and working for Trans-world. The sight rekindles his desire to find her and complete his plan. He begins to imagine a way to reach her through the corporation.

Adam signs on with Trans-world to develop the cream and meets Bob, an Up World employee who becomes his ally. Bob helps him barter for rare stamps from Down and establishes a link to Eden. Adam's goal is no longer personal curiosity but to locate and reconnect with Eden.

With Bob's help, Adam disguises himself as an Up worker, but Eden does not recognize him because of amnesia from the accident. His disguise begins to burn, forcing him to retreat back Down Below. The attempt nonetheless advances his plan, proving he can move between worlds.

Bob is fired from Trans-world, but before leaving he secretly gives Adam his ID to help him pass into Up. Adam uses it to slip through the building and pursue Eden. The moment marks a turning point in his quest and his ability to operate across worlds.

By using Bob's phone, Adam manages to call Eden and arrange a date. Eden does not recognize him in person due to amnesia, but the call rekindles hope that they can reconnect. The plan hinges on Adam's ability to maintain contact without exposing his true origin.

Adam presents his cosmetic cream in a lecture hall as part of the project. Eden enters, recognizes his true identity, and flees in shock. Adam pursues her through the building while Bob's fired ID complicates his escape.

Adam and Bob collaborate to reveal that mixing liquids from both gravity fields creates a hybrid solution that resists both fields and floats between them. Adam admits that he never gave Trans-world the main secret ingredient, ensuring the company cannot manufacture the product without him. The revelation strengthens his leverage in the coming confrontation.

Adam goes back to the Dos Mundos restaurant where he once met Eden and discovers she has begun to remember him. The police arrive forcing him to flee, leading him back to his planet. He climbs the mountain top, and Eden comes to meet him again, echoing their first connection.

Back on his world, Trans-world agrees to drop charges against Eden if Adam reveals the formula and never contacts her again. The threat of punishment pushes him toward a final choice about his invention and his love. The balance of power shifts as Eden remains hopeful.

Eden seeks Bob's help; Bob reveals he owns the beauty cream patent under the name Albert and Co., acquired before Trans-world. He also hints that he has a date, suggesting new possibilities for Eden and Adam. The behind-the-scenes deal hints at a larger, shared future.

The final reveal shows Eden pregnant with twins, symbolizing a bridged future for both worlds. The anti-gravity formula enables Down Below to prosper just as Up Top has prospered, and children from both sides play together in basketball. The camera pulls back to show towering skyscrapers on both planets, signaling a unified, intertwined civilization.
