Singam grows up as an orphan after his mother dies soon after his sister Manimegalai is born, followed by his father’s death from heartbreak and overdrinking. He is raised with little support and the siblings drift apart as the years pass. Those early losses shape his distrust of power and loyalty to his own circle.

As the years pass, Singam and Manimegalai remain on fraught terms, with a bitter rift lasting roughly two decades. Singam’s single-minded focus on Rayappan strains their relationship further. The siblings barely speak for years, setting up a volatile dynamic later in the story.

In 2021, Rayappan, now a powerful politician, begins scouting for a suitable councillor candidate for J.K. Nagar. Singam surfaces as a potential figure by staging bold actions to attract media attention. Rayappan starts treating him as a useful ally, albeit cautiously.

Singam drinks poison in front of the press during a public moment tied to Rayappan’s arrest, a stunt designed to fascinate the media and win sympathy. The act boosts his profile but also alarms rivals. It marks a turning point in his political maneuvering.

Mangalam, Rayappan’s trusted lieutenant, grows furious as Singam gains momentum. His ruthless approach backfires, and he is expelled from the ruling party. The power balance within Rayappan’s circle begins to shift.

An alter ego surfaces after Singam’s injuries, acting in direct opposition to Singam’s public persona. This vigilante image starts influencing events, protecting people and exposing corruption. The dual identity creates a dangerous internal conflict.

Singam, nominated for the counsellor chair, faces Rayappan’s demand for a 50 lakh deposit, money he had squeezed from Kamatchi, the daughter of a moneylender. The scheme feeds into the broader web of corruption surrounding the race. The seed of distrust between Singam and his allies grows.

Damayanthi and Mayor run an illegal construction and money-laundering operation under the guise of an NGO, offering 50 crores as an advance to Singam for evictions. The plan reveals deep corruption tied to corporate interests. The situation foreshadows the corruption-intense campaign to come.

The vigilante leaks the documentation, framing Rayappan, Singam, and the ruling party in a corruption scandal. CCTV captures the masked figure in action, intensifying public scrutiny. The revelation destabilizes Singam’s standing and tests his loyalties.

Rayappan’s authorities corner Singam and he is briefly exposed to the Income Tax Department. Kamatchi comes to his aid and posts his bail, revealing her knowledge of the truth. The episode exposes the money trail and begins the unraveling of Singam’s cover.

An angry Rayappan orders Singam’s killing, but Singam is saved by Lakshmi and local villagers, sustaining fatal injuries in the process. He spends time in the hospital reflecting on his choices and the love he earned from the people. The near-death experience catalyzes his amends and resolve.

In recovery and after a final video reveals the remaining funds, Singam reconciles with Manimegalai and uses the money to repay the public’s trust. Rayappan is removed from power, and Singam emerges as the CM’s right-hand man and JK Nagar MLA, arguing that politics needs a balance of good and evil to endure. The arc ends with his renewed popularity and political influence.
