The Trolls existed in pure happiness, thriving in their vibrant tree. They celebrated life with songs, dances, and endless hugs, embodying joy and togetherness.

The Trolls' joyful existence is disrupted when the gloomy Bergens discover them. This encounter leads to the annual 'Trollstice' where the Bergens consume Trolls to momentarily gain happiness.

On the day of the first Trollstice, Prince Gristle awakens his father, the king, signaling the beginning of their feast. However, Chef finds that all the Trolls have escaped, leading to her banishment from Bergen Town.

Two decades later, Poppy leads the remaining Trolls in their new life within the forest under the watchful eye of her father, King Peppy. They continue to embody joy, yet the lingering threat of the Bergens persists.

Poppy organizes a grand celebration to commemorate their new home with her eclectic friends. Meanwhile, Branch, a pessimistic Troll, isolates himself, wary of the lurking danger from the Bergens.

The festivities attract Chef, who appears disheveled after years of pursuit. She begins capturing Trolls one by one, causing panic among the remaining Trolls as they hide from her.

Poppy, determined to save her friends, attempts to enlist Branch's help. Despite his reluctance, she bravely decides to go after her friends alone, showing her unwavering spirit.

The Trolls help Bridget, a sympathetic maid, transform into Lady Glitter Sparkles to attract Gristle's attention. Their plan aims to help Bridget express her feelings, fostering a new connection.
