Trapped

Shaurya, a diligent call center employee, becomes determined to elope with his girlfriend, Noorie. However, their relationship is threatened by her impending arranged marriage, which propels him into action to escape.

In a whirlwind of excitement, Shaurya moves into a new flat just a day before the planned elopement with Noorie. Unbeknownst to him, the apartment is in a largely unoccupied building rife with construction and legal troubles.

As morning breaks, Shaurya finds himself unintentionally locked inside the apartment, leading to a series of frustrating attempts to break free. Isolated and without communication, he begins to realize the severity of his situation.

The situation worsens when faulty wiring plunges the apartment into darkness after the circuits trip. With his phone dead and no way to contact the outside world, Shaurya begins to feel the weight of his isolation set in.

Deprived of food, water, and electricity, Shaurya's mental state deteriorates rapidly. He is driven to desperation and starts consuming whatever he can find, including insects, as he struggles to survive.

In a moment of despair, Shaurya uses his own blood to write a desperate plea for help along with his address on a piece of cardboard. Unfortunately, the note falls onto a nearby terrace, missing its intended recipient.

The resident of the adjacent house, Swati, notices Shaurya's note but is misled by the watchman who claims the building is vacant. Although curious, she ultimately decides against investigating further.

Just when Shaurya seems to be at his lowest, heavy rains hit the area. He finds a small silver lining as he collects rainwater in any container he can find, alleviating his desperate need for hydration.

In a moment of sheer desperation, Shaurya resorts to sawing through the locked balcony gate using a metal sheet. He manages to free himself from his apartment, teetering at the edge of exhaustion.

After making his way down five floors and collapsing from fatigue, Shaurya's first breath of freedom is quickly followed by a rush to the hospital. His physical and emotional struggles have taken a brutal toll on him.

A week later, Noorie visits Shaurya in the hospital, bringing devastating news that she has married someone else. She believed he had abandoned her, crushing Shaurya’s hopes and adding to his emotional scars.

Now back in the world he once knew, Shaurya faces the harsh reality of reintegration. He realizes that his friends and colleagues have been too absorbed in their own lives to notice his absence or his suffering.
