Tom Richard Kind and his constant pursuit of a clever mouse lead them into a big move to a new house, where their life of comedy and chaos begins anew. From the moment they arrive, Tom’s focus on chasing Jerry Dana Hill—the wily mouse who slips through every crack—drives the action. In the scramble of moving day, Tom is left behind when the moving van departs, and he lunges after it in a desperate chase. A fierce bulldog attacks, forcing him to flee and hide in an empty, quiet house that feels miraculously empty of life. The next morning, a wrecking ball reduces the house to rubble, and Tom and Jerry find themselves homeless, wandering the streets with their usual stubborn energy and unshakable determination to outwit each other and survive.

Their wandering introduces them to Puggsy Ed Gilbert, a stray dog, and his flea companion Frankie Da Flea David L. Lander. When Tom and Jerry discover they can talk to other animals, a fragile friendship forms as they pool their wits to scrape by. Tom, initially wary, watches as Jerry embraces the chance to befriend new allies, while Tom remains hesitant, testing the balance between loyalty and independence. The group’s fortunes change again when they cross paths with Robyn Starling Anndi McAfee, a young runaway girl whose tale of tragedy and resilience unfolds as she travels with a shadowy past. Robyn’s widowed father is believed to be gone after an avalanche in Tibet, and Robyn’s fortune and future sit in the hands of her unscrupulous guardian Aunt Figg Charlotte Rae and the cunning lawyer Lickboot Tony Jay. At first sight, Robyn encounters Tom and Jerry as potential allies in a life that has already denied her trust, and the trio becomes a beacon of hope as they learn that Robyn’s father may still be alive. The tension rises as Figg tries to keep Robyn under her thumb, masking the truth with a façade of care, while Lickboot schemes to exploit the girl’s wealth.

Figg’s manipulation grows more dangerous when Tom and Jerry stumble into Figg’s scheme to control the situation by sending them to Dr. Applecheek Henry Gibson, a sly animal trafficker whose public persona as a gentle animal lover masks a cruel reality. Under Applecheek’s watch, the animals are caged and treated inhumanely, until Tom and Jerry, with their new friends, hatch a plan to free the captured animals. The bond between Tom, Jerry, Robyn, Puggsy, and Frankie strengthens as they uncover a telegram confirming Robyn’s father is alive, a truth that strengthens their resolve to outsmart Aunt Figg and her minions.

The pursuit intensifies as Captain Kiddie Rip Taylor and his parrot Squawk Howard Morris enter the picture, initially presenting themselves as friendly hosts but later revealing themselves to be allied with Figg. A fake bounty declared by Figg and Lickboot draws more danger toward their camp. Robyn is briefly detained on a Ferris wheel, and Figg’s plans seem to be closing in. Tom, Jerry, and Robyn escape a perilous chase, aided by the clever actions of Puggsy and Frankie, who orchestrate a daring release of the zoo’s captive animals from their cages. A paddle steamer chase ensues, and the pursuit continues as the villains close in on their quarry.

On the rescue front, Robyn’s father, alerted to his daughter’s peril, flies back from Tibet to reunite with her in America. The dramatic rescue culminates in a final confrontation at Robyn’s cabin, a place rich with memories of happier times. Figg and her accomplices pursue Robyn, Tom, and Jerry to this sanctuary, where an accidental fire threatens to engulf the room. The trio acts decisively: Tom and Jerry safeguard Robyn on the roof while Aunt Figg and Lickboot scramble to escape, only to be knocked into the river by the misfortune of Ferdinand’s skateboard and a chain of misadventures involving watercraft.

As the flames are finally contained, Robyn’s father arrives in a helicopter, bringing closure to the peril and restoring a sense of safety for Robyn. The villains face justice for their crimes, while Tom and Jerry receive a pardon to begin a new life—this time, in the luxurious villa that Robyn shares with her father.
