The film asks whether a life before birth or after death endures longer. In the 1990s, Kenjo dies in a terrorist gas attack and his girlfriend Haruka is murdered by a client while she works as a street prostitute. Defying fate, the dead Kenjo and Haruka encounter each other again in 2002, beginning a new, otherworldly chapter of their story.
