Thudarum

Thudaram ends with Benz finally confronting the corrupt officers who have ruined his family. After his beloved vintage Ambassador is seized by the police, Benz learns that his son Pavi has gone missing. The supposedly helpful CI George Mathan is actually the mastermind behind a brutal scheme: he convinces Benz to drive the officers into a remote forest, lies that a blackmail‑er’s corpse is hidden in the car’s trunk, and then uses the vehicle to dump the real body—Pavi’s.

When a landslide exposes the buried remains, Benz discovers that his son was not killed in a traffic accident but was murdered by George and his accomplice SI Benny C. Kurian. The motive is personal: Pavi had fallen in love with Mary, George’s daughter, a relationship George could not tolerate. To protect his reputation before retirement, George manipulates the media, framing Benz as a violent father who killed his own child.

Fuelled by grief and fury, Benz turns the tables. He kidnaps Sudheesh, a witness who confirms George’s lies, and then abducts Mary to force George’s hand. In a climactic showdown, Benz kills both Benny—who, though more hesitant, still enabled the crime—and George, avenging his son’s death and exposing the police’s cruelty.

The film closes on an ambiguous note: Benz surrenders to the authorities, and a reporter asks whether he killed his own son. He begins to answer, then stops, implying that the truth of his vigilante justice will eventually surface. The audience is left to wonder whether the law will spare him, but the narrative makes clear that when the system protects the powerful and discards the innocent, a desperate man may feel forced to take justice into his own hands.
