Jamie refuses to kill anyone—unless his friend Teddy urges him. At twelve, Jamie Benjamin is a solitary, misunderstood pre‑teen; bullied at school, shunned by neighbors, and ignored by his parents. In the forest he discovers a hidden pit inhabited by man‑eating creatures he calls Trogs, and he soon devises a plan to use them for revenge, feeding the Trogs his tormentors.
