Her declaration that her suffering will end with her leads her to tie a rope around her neck and use a statue as a weight before hanging herself. This event sets the dark history of the mansion that influences future events.

In present-day New York City, Evie Jackson, feeling lonely after her mother's death, uses a DNA kit to learn more about her extended family. She receives a message from Oliver Alexander, leading her to consider uncovering her ancestral roots linked to Emmaline.

After a lunch with Oliver, Evie agrees to travel to London to attend a family wedding at the DeVille estate. She is curious about her family history and hopes to find answers about her past.

Evie arrives at the estate and is introduced to the stern butler Mr. Fields and the charming lord Walt DeVille. She begins her exploration of the mansion, sensing that something is amiss with the house’s mysterious atmosphere.

While touring the mansion, Evie witnesses two maids being attacked by an unseen creature in the wine cellar. The incident hints at the supernatural presence lurking within the estate.

Evie meets various relatives at the family reunion, including Walt, Viktoria, and Lucy. Later, she attends a ball, where she shares a romantic moment with Walt amidst the elaborate festivities.

Evie discovers Walt has been researching her personal information, which alarms her. Walt manages to seduce her, convincing her of his intentions, and they begin a romantic relationship that hints at darker motives.

During a family dinner, Walt announces that Evie has agreed to marry him, shocking her. The family then sacrifices a maid, revealing they are vampires intent on continuing their bloodline, with Evie being a key descendant of Emmaline.

Mrs. Swift, feeling guilty, helps Evie escape from the cellar, where she was about to be sacrificed. Evie flees the estate and encounters Jonathan and Mina Harker, who initially seem loyal but are revealed to be part of the vampire clan, leading to her capture.

Evie prepares herself for the wedding, summoning her inner strength and memories of her mother. She drinks Walt’s blood to gain vampire powers, sets fire to the estate, and fiercely fights and defeats Walt and key family members, ending their reign of terror.

After defeating Walt, Evie overpowers him and throws him into the fire as he weakens. Her vampiric powers fade, and she emerges victorious. She escapes the collapsing estate, free from her tormentors, and begins a new chapter.

Two weeks later, Evie, now back in the world, finds Oliver still searching for her. She tracks him down and enlists Grace to help eliminate him, as he continues to pose a threat, hinting at unresolved dangers from her past.
