Comedian Harmonists chronicles the rise and fall of the celebrated German male sextet—five singers and a pianist—who first united in 1927. Their dazzling harmonies and nationwide popularity propelled them to stardom, but by 1934 the Nazi regime banned the group because three members were Jewish, bringing their extraordinary career to an abrupt end.
