Callum Crane, an ambitious lawyer hoping to become a federal judge, ruins his prospects when he sexually assaults his secretary and then plots to have her killed. He contracts a young man for the hit, unaware that the assassin is his own son, Nathan. Nathan declines, warns others, and a third party steps in to carry out the murder.
