The Cottage

Two bickering brothers, David and Peter, kidnap Tracey, the stepdaughter of crime boss Arnie, with the help of Andrew. They retrieve her from the car boot and tie her to the bed frame at a secluded cottage.

Andrew delivers the ransom, but the bag is filled with napkins instead of money. David and Peter quickly suspect that Arnie knew about Andrew's involvement, deepening their distrust.

David goes down to the village to use a telephone box after dropping his own phone in water. He meets sinister locals who warn him to lock his doors and not wander. He returns to Barnarby Cottage to find Tracey has incapacitated Andrew and abducted Peter.

Tracey and Peter arrive at the farmer's house, an ominous-looking farm. They enter the house and realize they are far from help as they confront the terrifying surroundings.

In the kitchen, the Farmer stabs Tracey in the stomach. Peter incapacitates the Farmer with a shovel, but the Farmer recovers and maims Peter's foot. Tracey mocks him to hurry up, and the Farmer murders Tracey by shoving the shovel into her mouth.

The Farmer knocks Peter unconscious and hangs him by his jacket on a meat hook in the shed. The brutal act underscores the danger they face and leaves David and Tracey's friends vulnerable.

Andrew and David reach the farm and discover Steven, Andrew's hairdresser, dying from a brutal disembowelment. They also stumble upon the corpse of Arnie's henchman with a slit throat in the forest nearby, signaling the Farmer's brutality.

The men hurry outside and discover a shed full of severed heads, a grisly testament to the Farmer's reach. The sight confirms they are deep in the killer's territory and heightens the danger.

The Farmer pins David to the ground with a pickaxe through his leg. He viciously attacks Andrew before ripping out his spine, leaving the brothers in grave danger and separated from Tracey.

Peter comes to, frees himself, and crawls to David. After years of squabbling, the brothers vow to fight on and drag themselves into the farmhouse to search for a phone and help.

The Farmer reappears and tosses Andrew's severed head and spine through the window. David tries to defend his brother but is impaled by the Farmer with a pickaxe, intensifying the peril.

Angered, Peter ties a rope around the Farmer's neck and begins to strangle him. The Farmer knocks Peter down the cellar stairs and closes the trap door, trapping him below.

With a fading light, Peter descends into the cellar and finds the Farmer's wife and daughters waiting to ambush him. The lighter flickers out as they close in, and the scene cuts to black.

After the credits, Arnie and his right-hand men arrive at the farm. The Farmer suddenly rushes out toward them, and the screen cuts to black as danger remains.
