A young girl manages to escape from a secretive and dangerous laboratory following a violent event that results in multiple casualties. The lab’s overseers, Dr. Baek [ /actor/cho-min-soo ] and Mr. Choi [ /actor/park-hee-soon ], initially believe her to be dead. She collapses on a farm, where she is discovered by the kind Mr. and Mrs. Goo. His wife cares for her and eventually adopts the girl, giving her a new life far from her traumatic past.
A decade passes, and the girl, Ja-yoon, grows up with no recollection of her origins. Her life seems ordinary at first, but beneath the surface, she struggles with severe headaches, and her family faces financial hardships. Her mother begins to show early signs of dementia, adding to the family’s distress. During this period, Ja-yoon discovers her extraordinary talent—she can levitate microphones during a singing audition—an ability that leaves her peers and judges in awe. Her unique skill hints at hidden powers and eventually draws the attention of her creators, Dr. Baek and Mr. Choi, who realize her true identity as the girl who escaped from the laboratory.
As Ja-yoon advances in a national singing contest, her life takes a perilous turn. On her journey to Seoul for the competition, she encounters Nobleman [ /actor/choi-woo-shik ], a mysterious figure claiming to know her past. Meanwhile, her true identity is almost revealed when, after her audition, she narrowly escapes an abduction attempt by Dr. Baek’s operatives. Later, her peaceful life is shattered when armed men storm her home, forcing her into a confrontation with her own powers. In a trance-like state, she exhibits superhuman strength and agility, fighting off multiple attackers with ease, leaving her both confused and frightened by her abilities.
Nobleman warns her that her life is at risk unless she joins him, threatening her with deadly consequences. He escorts her to the laboratory, where she is restrained and confronted by Dr. Baek. She learns that she was intentionally created and genetically modified to possess supernatural abilities. Her ongoing headaches are caused by a deadly disease, and she is given a blue serum designed to keep her alive temporarily, making her dependent on regular injections. After receiving the serum, Ja-yoon’s personality shifts dramatically—she reveals she has always known her true nature and that her memory was never erased.
Faced with her mortality, Ja-yoon seeks out her creator, driven by a desire to find a cure. She learns that without a bone marrow transplant from a relative, her remaining time is limited. To locate Dr. Baek, she intentionally reveals her powers during one of her performances, drawing attention to herself. Recovered from her dependency on the serum, she frees herself from her captors, defeating the guards and killing Mr. Choi in the process. In a fierce confrontation, she also overcomes Nobleman, but tragically, Dr. Baek loses her life amid the chaos.
In the aftermath, Ja-yoon burns down the laboratory to eliminate further threats and visits her parents, sharing some serum with her mother to slow down her dementia. Her father hints that he suspected her extraordinary abilities all along. Months later, Ja-yoon appears at the home of Dr. Baek’s twin sister, handing over more vials of the serum, hinting at ongoing efforts to support her. The story ends with a chilling encounter—an unidentified young woman, scarred and mysterious, approaches Ja-yoon, who, feeling threatened, warns her with a display of her formidable power. The scene fades to black, leaving the audience contemplating what future challenges await Ja-yoon and the secrets still hidden behind her remarkable abilities.
