The Washing Machine

Three eccentric sisters, Vida, Ludmilla and Maria, live together in the same penthouse. Each sister embodies a different dynamic: Vida the spoiled temptress, Ludmilla the lonely voyeur, and Maria the bisexual who owns a black cat. The film opens by establishing their ties and the simmering tensions beneath their routine.

Late at night, Ludmilla finds the washing machine running with blood pouring out. When the door opens, Yuri Petkov's body is found dismembered inside. By the time the police are called, Yuri's remains are mysteriously missing, leaving many questions unanswered.

Inspector Alexander Stacev is assigned to the case and immediately downplays it as a drunken hallucination. He tells the sisters there is no real case to pursue, setting a tense tone for what follows. The official investigation stalls from the outset.

Ludmilla calls Stacev from the sisters' orbit, asking to discuss the case without revealing how she got his number. At headquarters, two German career criminals who were recently arrested corroborate Yuri's arrival at the house outside the sisters' claimed window. Their testimony undermines key alibis and casts doubt on the sisters' version of events. The case now hinges on conflicting narratives rather than solid evidence.

Stacev finds a suitcase of jewels and cash meant for the sisters and hides it at his apartment while trying to assemble solid evidence. The discovery raises the stakes and motivates him to consider defection from the official line. Tension rises as the personal and criminal interests collide.

Before any clear case can be made, an unseen killer chokes Nikolai to death, and it is revealed that Yuri is very much alive and the true killer of Nikolai and Stacev. Their dismembered remains are found in the washing machine, exposing the depth of Yuri's manipulation and the collapse of the investigation.

Yuri pressures Maria to join the family, and the group stages a bonding moment with a group photo, with Stacev still inside the washing machine. Maria then throws an iron into Yuri's running bath and electrocuts him to death, delivering a brutal form of revenge. The sisters celebrate their joint complicity with a final shared laugh.
