Mel’s story concludes with her successfully preventing a catastrophic accident involving the self-driving bus, which was being manipulated to plunge into the river and cover up evidence of the conspiracy. The story ends on a hopeful note, with Mel reuniting with her old mentor Buddy—who reveals that he used the stolen money to fund her work—and continuing her mission of ethical hacking with Thomas by her side.
