After King Neptune is tricked into believing Krabs stole his crown, he confronts Krabs at the Krusty Krab 2. In a fit of rage, Neptune freezes Krabs in place and gives SpongeBob a daunting six-day deadline to recover the stolen crown.

Mindy, the daughter of King Neptune, warns SpongeBob about the dangers he will face on his quest to Shell City. She mentions the terrifying Cyclops that lurks in Shell City, heightening the stakes for SpongeBob's mission.

Determined to save Krabs, SpongeBob and Patrick embark on their journey in the Patty Wagon, a unique vehicle shaped like a Krabby Patty. Their adventures lead them through Bikini Bottom as they seek to reclaim the crown.

During their journey, SpongeBob and Patrick become victims of a carjacking incident. They chase the thief to a dingy bar, resulting in a chaotic scene, but ultimately manage to retrieve their beloved Patty Wagon.

While SpongeBob is on his mission, Plankton seizes the opportunity to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula from the frozen Krabs. His actions lead to chaos in Bikini Bottom as he sells subpar patties and brainwashes customers.

SpongeBob and Patrick face numerous challenges, including navigating a treacherous ravine, which leads to the destruction of their Patty Wagon. They receive unexpected help from Mindy, who gives them whimsical seaweed mustaches to boost their confidence.

SpongeBob and Patrick's newfound confidence is soon tested as they encounter the Cyclops, a human diver in disguise. Just when hope seems lost, they find themselves trapped and must strategize to escape.

Using their combined wits, SpongeBob and Patrick manage to escape the clutches of the Cyclops after their tears accidentally short-circuit a lamp. This event awakens the lifeless sea creatures and causes chaos, offering them a chance to flee.

After a series of bizarre encounters, SpongeBob and Patrick successfully retrieve King Neptune’s crown and evade Dennis on David Hasselhoff's catamaran. They rush back to Bikini Bottom to confront the situation unfolding there.

In a moment of bravery, SpongeBob performs 'Goofy Goober Rock' to break Plankton's mind-control over the citizens of Bikini Bottom. His performance not only frees his friends but also allows him to save Krabs from execution.

With the crown recovered and Krabs freed from Neptune's grasp, SpongeBob finally earns the promotion he long desired. The film concludes with a joyous celebration as Bikini Bottom returns to normal after the chaos.
