The Sleepover

In Boston, Clancy Finch is excited to be invited by her crush, Travis Schultz, to a party at his house. This moment sets the stage for the events that unfold throughout the movie.

Clancy's brother, Kevin, faces bullying from older students while dancing in the restroom. Their mother, Margot, intervenes as a lunch monitor to scare the bullies away, but not before they film Kevin and upload the video to YouTube, causing it to go viral.

After Kevin's embarrassing video goes viral, Clancy asks her parents for permission to attend Travis's party. They both refuse, leading to a heated argument where Clancy insults her mother and ends up grounded.

Kevin's friend Lewis joins him for a sleepover in the backyard tent. This camaraderie sets the stage for the kids' upcoming adventure and helps establish their bond.

Clancy and Mim sneak out to go to the party but witness a terrifying scene when Lewis, using the bathroom, sees armed intruders force Ron and Margot to comply with their demands. The intruders threaten Ron's life, heightening the danger for the family.

After Lewis alerts the others, they find a marshals agent being held captive. He reveals that Margot is in the Witness Protection Program, explaining the reason behind the intruders' actions and the danger they all face.

The kids discover clues left by Margot that lead them to her secret spy center. These hints include flour marks and her necklace, directing them on their mission to rescue their parents.

The kids take a self-driving spy car to Travis’s party, but their journey is interrupted when the U.S. Coast Guard stops them due to Travis's revoked license. They make a daring escape by jumping off the boat and swimming to shore.

The group locates their parents at an extravagant gala where a plan to steal a crown is underway. They manage to sneak into the event by pretending to be a performing quartet, showcasing their ingenuity.

At the gala, Ron accidentally ingests poison meant for the queen, leading to chaos as security detains them. In a twist, Margot and Leo manage to knock out the guards and escape with the kids.

Upon reaching Leo's safe house, the group discovers that he is not who he claims to be. Rather than being a victim, Leo is revealed as the new head of the crime syndicate, complicating their situation even further.

A confrontation ensues when Elise holds them at gunpoint, threatening to frame them for theft. In a moment of bravery, Ron uses a spider to distract her, leading to a chaotic escape.

The events culminate with Leo and his associates being arrested by the Boston Police. This law enforcement intervention finally brings peace back to the Finch family.

After all the chaos, Agent Henry drives everyone back to the Finch house. Clancy receives her jacket back from Travis, resuming normal life as if nothing happened.

Despite the turmoil, Margot allows Clancy to participate in the Berklee School of Music's summer program for cello. This decision signifies a hopeful return to normalcy and a bright future for Clancy.
