The Robot vs. The Aztec Mummy

Dr. Krupp built the robot because he needed a way to defeat Popoca the mummy, who had previously thrown him into a snake pit. The robot was designed with a human head and brain to serve as a controllable weapon specifically meant to destroy the ancient guardian whenever Popoca returned to stop Krupp from stealing the Aztec treasure.

Krupp constructed a true cyborg, a robot fitted with a human head and brain. This allowed Krupp to control the machine remotely using a remote control device. When he pressed a button, he could command the robot to attack, making it a deadly weapon powered by both machinery and human cognitive function.

Dr. Almada burst into the tomb and knocked the remote control out of Krupp's hands. This severed the robot's connection to its brain, effectively shutting down the machine and leaving it dazed and inert. Without the remote signal, the cyborg could no longer receive commands, giving Popoca the chance to attack.

Earlier scenes establish Almada as Krupp's former collaborator who knows his technology.

After defeating Krupp and his robot, Popoca retreated to another tomb to rest because his own burial chamber had been violated and destroyed during the battle. The mummy sought a quiet, undisturbed place to resume his ancient vigil protecting Aztec treasures, leaving his original tomb in ruins.

Popoca overpowers Krupp and his henchman Tierno, strangling them in a fit of fury. The mummy defeats the villain and leaves him for dead inside the tomb. Krupp's scheme to steal the Aztec treasure is completely thwarted by the very guardian he tried to destroy.

The robot initially had the upper hand, using electric shocks from its hands to burn and weaken Popoca. However, once Almada disabled the robot by removing its control, Popoca regained the advantage. Without the remote signal, the machine became stationary and vulnerable, allowing the mummy to tear it apart with his ancient strength.

The gold breastplate is a priceless Aztec treasure resting on Popoca's chest inside the tomb. Krupp steals it believing the artifact holds immense value. The theft is what awakens Popoca from his centuries-long rest, triggering the film's main conflict between the mad scientist and the undead guardian.

Dr. Almada was Krupp's former collaborator and the original discoverer of the mummy. He joins forces with his wife Flor and their associate Pinacate to protect Popoca's tomb and prevent Krupp from stealing the Aztec treasure. Almada understands the danger Krupp poses and wants to stop his former partner's criminal schemes.

Tierno is Krupp's henchman who accompanies him into the tomb. After the robot is destroyed, Popoca turns on both Krupp and Tierno, overpowering and strangling both men. Like his boss, Tierno meets his end at the hands of the vengeful mummy.

Dr. Krupp is nicknamed "the Bat" in the film, likely referencing his dark, villainous nature and nocturnal activities. This alias establishes him as a sinister figure in the movie's universe, distinguishing him from the heroic scientists trying to stop his treasure-hunting schemes.

This is the third film in the Mexican "Aztec Mummy" series. The previous films established Popoca as the guardian and showed Krupp's previous attempts to steal the treasure, which ended with him being thrown into a snake pit by the mummy. This installment follows Krupp's return with his robotic weapon.
