In 1661 Mexico, the Baron Vitelius of Astara is condemned by the Holy Inquisition for witchcraft and necromancy and burned alive. As he dies he curses the inquisitors’ lineage. Three centuries later, the comet that illuminated his execution returns, bringing the Baron back as a terrifying, brain‑eating monster that stalks the descendants of the inquisitors.
