The Return of the Incredible Hulk

David Banner infiltrates Genecore under the alias Benton, working as a janitor to gain nighttime access to Dr. Ronald Pratt's research. He believes Pratt's work on genetic engineering and healing abilities may hold the key to curing his gamma-induced condition that transforms him into the Hulk when stressed.

After catching David secretly studying his research, Ronald confronts him and David reveals his true identity and transformations under threat of authorities. Instead of exposing him, Ronald becomes intrigued because the Hulk's accelerated healing aligns with his own research on enhancing human regeneration.

Earlier edits to Pratt's research hinted that someone with medical knowledge was helping his work.

The board pulls funding because Ronald refuses to redirect his healing research toward creating super soldiers for military applications. They demand he focus directly on David's cure instead of his broader scientific work, forcing him to accelerate the treatment prematurely.

David transforms into the Hulk due to anger at Jasmine's disruption and assault on Ronald. When Jasmine shoves Ronald into a table of chemicals, knocking him unconscious into a coma-inducing mixture, David's stress and rage from seeing his friend harmed triggers the transformation.

The unauthorized procedure was kept secret with no security present, creating the perfect storm for interruption.

After David treats her bullet wound and shows kindness, Jasmine begins helping him. Her perspective shifts further when the Hulk rescues her from Kasha's men, making her see David as a protector. She then uses her espionage skills to guide him to Ronald's hospital room and helps coax the scientist out of his coma.

Jasmine's initial mission was purely to steal files, but co-agents attempted to kill her, turning her against the spy network.

Bella is revealed to be the actual leader of the spy network, not a hostage as Kasha claimed. The mortally wounded co-agent tells Jasmine that Bella faked the hostage situation to control her. Kasha was selling the stolen information for personal profit and used the fake hostage story to force Jasmine's compliance.

Their relationship develops after the Hulk rescues Jasmine from an attack by Kasha's men. Witnessing David's heroic transformation and protection makes Jasmine see him differently, and they grow closer as they work together against their pursuers, forming a bond built on trust and shared danger.

Bella kidnaps the Pratts as leverage against Ronald's research project. Jasmine learns the airfield location from a former comrade and alerts the authorities, setting up the raid that leads to the final confrontation.

When captured by the network's torturer Zed in the hangar, Jasmine pretends to swallow a suicide pill, tricking him into letting his guard down. This misdirection allows her to overpower him and trigger the police raid that helps free the Pratts.

When Zed tries to ram Jasmine with the plane, David transforms into the Hulk and breaks into the aircraft. Bella fires at him, unintentionally hitting the fuel tank. The resulting explosion destroys the plane, killing Bella, Zed, and the Hulk. David reverts to human form before succumbing to his injuries.

Kasha had been making overtures to take Bella's place as leader of the spy network. Before escaping, Bella shoots Kasha to eliminate the threat to her authority and prevent him from betraying or supplanting her.

David dies after the plane explosion kills the Hulk. When Bella fires at the Hulk and hits the fuel tank, the resulting blast destroys the aircraft. The Hulk is killed in the explosion, and David reverts to human form before dying from his injuries at the crash site.
