The St. Trinian's girls ignite a dramatic turn of events by burning down their school, a reckless act that lands them on trial at the Old Bailey and ultimately leaves them found guilty. Professor Canford, a philosopher from the University of Baghdad, argues that punishment alone won’t reform them. He champions a more humane approach and steps in with a plan: he offers funds for a new school building and collaborates with Miss Harker-Parker to guide the girls toward rehabilitation.

To demonstrate that sympathetic education can work, the school stages a cultural festival featuring a fashion show, a painting demonstration, and a dramatic presentation. The invitation is extended to Ministry officials Culpepper-Brown and Butters. The event, however, collapses into chaos. The Minister of Education John Le Mesurier is not swayed by the spectacle, and [Culpepper-Brown], [Butters], and Gore Blackwood are crushed when the Minister reveals that the fashions are to be showcased in London, the art will be exhibited in a reputable gallery, and Hamlet will be staged at Stratford.

Still determined to prove the method, Canford proposes a cultural tour of the Greek Islands for the sixth-form girls. But a string of misadventures soon redirects them to an island in the East Arabian Sea, where they are rescued and brought to an army base in Makrab. The girls take over the base, and a tense confrontation unfolds. Things look bleak until the distant sound of the St. Trinian's school song grows louder, and the fourth-form girls arrive in army vehicles to smash their way into the compound.

Back in Britain, the girls are celebrated as heroes, having turned a chaotic episode into a public triumph and a renewed sense of purpose for their school.
