Nothing But Trouble

Chris Thorne, a financial publisher, hosts a lively party in his penthouse in Manhattan. During this event, he meets Diane Lightson, a heartbroken investment attorney whose fiancé recently ended their relationship.

Chris is immediately drawn to Diane and agrees to escort her to a sales conference in Atlantic City. He views this as an opportunity to get to know her better and hopefully hook up.

While on their journey, they encounter Fausto and Renalda Squiriniszu, a flashy brother and sister duo who invite themselves to join Chris and Diane. The group now travels together, adding a layer of unpredictability to their trip.

Chris decides to take a scenic detour off the New Jersey Turnpike. Unfortunately, this leads them to the run-down mining village of Valkenvania, where their troubles begin.

After failing to stop at a stop sign and attempting to evade the pursuing Sheriff Dennis Valkenheiser, the group is apprehended. They are taken before the eccentric 106-year-old Judge Alvin Valkenheiser.

The Judge confiscates their identification and sentences them to be judged the following day. The group is held in his courthouse/funhouse, where they contemplate their next steps.

Desperate to escape, the group splits up during their escape attempt. Fausto and Renalda swim across a sewage moat but are quickly caught by Sheriff Dennis, leading to an unexpected turn of events.

While Fausto and Renalda negotiate their escape, Chris and Diane remain trapped. They face threats from Officer Miss Purdah, Dennis's unstable cousin, who makes their chances of escape even slimmer.

Fleeing the chaos, Diane encounters two troll-like creatures named Bobo and Lil' Debbull in the salvage yard. She gains their trust as she learns more about the Judge's deranged family.

Chris sneaks into the Judge's quarters but is caught by Eldona, the Judge's mute granddaughter. The Judge decrees that Chris must marry Eldona to save his life, complicating the situation further.

In a surprising twist, Chris calls for help from the alternative rap group Digital Underground, who are also being held captive. The Judge is won over by their performance and releases them.

As the plot thickens, it is revealed that the Judge has a longstanding grudge against wealthy individuals due to a family investment gone wrong. This sets the stage for the extreme punishments he believes are justified.

Just as Chris is about to face the gruesome 'Mr. Bonestripper,' the machine unexpectedly malfunctions. Seizing the moment, Chris escapes and rescues Diane from the salvage yard.

After their escape, Chris and Diane report the bizarre events to the authorities, only to discover that local law enforcement is complicit with the Judge's nefarious plans.

The town of Valkenvania is destroyed due to underground coal fires, leading to the demise of the Judge and his minions. Chris and Diane narrowly escape as the corrupt village crumbles around them.

Back in New York, Chris and Diane attempt to return to their lives. However, while relaxing, Chris discovers that Judge Valkenheiser plans to move in with them, leading to another panic-filled moment.
