The Princess and the Frog

In New Orleans during the Roaring Twenties, Tiana has ambitious dreams of opening her own restaurant. Despite her demanding schedule as a waitress, she remains hopeful and dedicated to her future aspirations.

Naveen, the arrogant prince of Maldonia, arrives in New Orleans after being disowned by his family. He intends to marry Tiana's best friend, Charlotte La Bouff, whose father is about to throw a grand ball in Naveen's honor.

Charlotte hires Tiana to prepare beignets for the lavish masquerade ball celebrating Naveen. Tiana is excited about the opportunity, hoping it will bring her closer to her dream of owning a restaurant.

At the ball, Naveen and his valet Lawrence encounter Dr. Facilier, a wicked voodoo witch doctor. Facilier casts a spell on Naveen, turning him into a frog and substituting Lawrence with a doppelganger to enact his sinister plan.

Tiana, after accidentally getting involved in Naveen's plight, finds herself kissed by him while he is in frog form. To her shock, she too is transformed into a frog, setting them on a quest to break the curse.

As Tiana and Naveen flee into the bayou, they meet Louis, a jazz-loving alligator, who tells them about Mama Odie, a voodoo practitioner who may be able to help them. They are soon joined by Ray, a charming Cajun firefly.

During their journey through the bayou, Tiana and Naveen's relationship deepens. Naveen learns valuable lessons about responsibility and love, as Tiana's determination continues to inspire him.

Dr. Facilier, seeking to reclaim Naveen, makes a deal with his voodoo spirits. He sends shadow demons after Tiana and her friends, showcasing the escalating danger surrounding them.

Tiana and Naveen finally find Mama Odie, who reveals that the curse can only be broken by a princess's kiss. Tiana learns of Charlotte's temporary princess status due to her father's coronation.

Realizing they need to hurry, Tiana and Naveen take a steamboat back to New Orleans. During the journey, Naveen confesses his love for Tiana but decides he must first marry Charlotte to break the curse.

Just as Tiana prepares to make her move, shadow demons capture Naveen and return him to Facilier. Tiana learns about Naveen's true feelings and is filled with determination to rescue him.

In a heroic act, Ray rescues Naveen and steals the talisman from Facilier. Sadly, his bravery results in his mortal wounding, leaving Tiana heartbroken yet inspired by his sacrifice.

Faced with Facilier's temptation to fulfill her dreams in exchange for the talisman, Tiana chooses to destroy it, prioritizing love and honor over her ambitions. This act foils Facilier's wicked scheme.

With Facilier defeated and Lawrence arrested, Charlotte kisses Naveen, turning him and Tiana back into humans. However, Charlotte loses her title as the clock strikes midnight, throwing their plans into chaos.

After grieving Ray's loss, Tiana and Naveen honor him with a beautiful funeral. They are finally married by Mama Odie, allowing Tiana to fulfill her dream of opening her restaurant and live happily ever after.
