Min Kyu-dong's The Old Woman with the Knife retains Hornclaw as an aging contract killer working through a disease-control organization, her growing physical vulnerability, younger assassin Bullfight's hostility, an unexpected attachment to a veterinarian's family, and a past relationship that explains the present vendetta. The film makes Hornclaw's methods more visibly action-driven, reorganizes her history, enlarges the younger rival and healing themes, and offers different cuts with distinct emphases. Gu's protagonist, occupational euphemism, aging conflict, central relationships, and confrontation remain, while chronology, set pieces, and emotional resolution are adapted for a kinetic thriller.
