Beautiful young witch Elaine Parks drives to Arcata, California, a town where witchcraft is accepted. Recently widowed after the death of her husband Jerry, Elaine seeks a fresh start. She moves into an apartment managed by her mentor Barbara and taken care of by the stylish interior decorator Trish Manning. During a visit to a cozy tea room, they unexpectedly receive an attention-seeking visit from Trish's husband Richard, who quickly becomes infatuated with Elaine.
