Kolos arrives via teletransporter at Dr. Vaughan Dornheimer's mansion and encounters Dornheimer's blind niece Lisa. Lisa, unaware that Kolos is an extraterrestrial, leads him to Dornheimer's laboratory. Kolos declares they will develop androids together; Dornheimer refuses, but Kolos proclaims himself master and demands obedience.

In parallel, a string of high-security electronics facility thefts baffles investigators. Dr. Munson kills a guard after tearing a security door off its hinges and escapes in his car. The police suspect the involvement of rogue scientists, unaware that Munson is an android.

Glenn infiltrates Dornheimer's world

Glenn Martin of the National Intelligence Agency goes undercover, posing as a reporter at Dornheimer's home. He encounters Lisa and later sneaks into Dornheimer's lab, where he witnesses human duplication. Lisa reveals that Dornheimer has been replaced by an android, and in the lab, he is attacked by an android Thor that Glenn destroys by smashing its head.

Kolos captures Glenn for duplication

Kolos apprehends Glenn so that he can be duplicated, marking the beginning of a new wave of android copies. The scene advances the androids' plan to expand their power and erode human agency. Kolos asserts control, setting the stage for further confrontations.

Android Dornheimer proclaims himself head of the master race and starts duplicating Lisa. Android Glenn returns and interrupts the duplication, still loyal to Kolos. The two androids fight, destroying each other in the process.

Kolos breaks free and eliminates threats

Kolos breaks free from his chains and destroys the remaining androids. He then places the unconscious Lisa on a sofa as her eyelids flutter and she smiles, hinting at her humanity.

Kolos declares that his mission has failed and that he has learned he is also an android. He teletransports back aboard the spaceship, likely to face judgment from the Intergalactic Council.
