Christina Papadopoulos is a 22-year-old high school teacher, engaged to ambitious lawyer Dimitri. Yet as their cultural expectations—rooted in Greek-Australian tradition—begin to feel constraining, the dynamic between them shifts from resistance to something more charged, a flirtation that grows into a deeper connection.

When Christina becomes the manager of the school’s newly formed soccer team, she and Nick begin to spend more time together outside of school hours. Though Christina is hesitant at first, she gradually gives in to her impulses, and the two embark on an illicit relationship. They use the house left by a friend for their rendezvous, and their bond deepens as they fall in love, savoring private moments away from the watchful eyes of colleagues and family.

As news of their relationship leaks, Christina faces severe shaming at her workplace, and Nick’s father berates her for breaking the trust placed upon her as a teacher. The situation is further complicated when her fiancé learns of the affair.
