Two vagrants rob the night operator of Ferndale’s small‑town railway station, imprisoning Helen in a closet before fleeing. Later, from a bridge over the freight yards, Helen spots the thieves boarding an outbound freight train. She leaps onto the car’s roof as it passes beneath, sparking a daring rooftop chase along the speeding trains.
