During the Qing invasion of Korea in 1636, the King and his court find themselves besieged within the Namhan Fortress. As the massive Chinese army closes in, the defenders face dwindling supplies and brutal conditions. With their numbers diminishing and surrender seemingly inevitable, the King must confront a difficult choice: agree to send his son as a hostage to the enemy, or fight for a victory that may not be possible, risking everything for the sake of his kingdom’s honor.
