Growing up together without parents, Kida and Makoto found solace in a close friendship with Yotchi, a transfer student with a difficult family life. They supported each other throughout their school years, but at age 20, Yotchi suddenly disappeared. Their lives are further complicated by the arrival of Lisa, the daughter of a politician and a celebrated model, who represents a world far removed from their own. When Makoto develops a romantic interest in Lisa and is rejected, he impulsively quits his job and disappears, leaving Kida to grapple with the unraveling of their shared history and the uncertain fates of his friends.
