The Dirt Bike Kid

Jack purchases a Yamaha YZ-80 using their last $50. He soon discovers the bike is self-aware and responsive to him, which shocks and excites him.

Jack's mother confiscates the bike and sells it to Mr. Zak to recoup their money. Jack protests, but the bike is gone, leaving him frustrated. The bike's future becomes uncertain.

The bike returns in the middle of a Little League game to visit Jack. He tells Mr. Zak about the miraculous bike, and Zak suggests that Jack can work off the debt by making deliveries with the bike.

Jack joins a Little League team sponsored by the Doghouse, a beloved local hot dog joint. The town banker Hodgkins plans to demolish the Doghouse to make way for a new bank, putting the Doghouse's future in jeopardy.

Mazie Clavell, a coach of the rival Little League team, quits when she sees Hodgkins's ruthlessness. She begins dating Mike, the honest owner of the Doghouse, as they face the town's adversity together.

Jack and his friend Bo hack into Hodgkins' bank computer to learn why Hodgkins wants the Doghouse land. They reveal that the land isn't ideal for Hodgkins' bank and that Hodgkins' personal account isn't as sizable as rumored.

Hodgkins learns of Jack's attempt to save the Doghouse and enlists Max, a Little League teammate, who brings in Arthur 'Big Slime' and his biker gang. The threat of intimidation grows as the plot unfolds.

When Hodgkins closes in, Chief Salt orders the dirt bike to be impounded as leverage against Jack and the town's morale. The move intensifies the conflict and raises the stakes for Jack.

Mazie and Mike step in and pay the impoundment fee to get the bike back, defying Hodgkins' pressure. The community begins to rally around Jack and his cause.

At the groundbreaking ceremony for Hodgkins' bank, Jack and his Little League team disrupt the event with a pie fight. The dirt bike then unexpectedly carries away Hodgkins, and Jack explains a plan that could benefit everyone.

A year passes and the town has transformed: the Doghouse is renovated, the Hodgkins Bank is open, and jobs have improved. Bo is now popular with girls, Jack's mom has found work, and Mike and Mazie are married and expecting their first child. Salt now works as a security guard at the bank, and Big Slime has become a bank teller.

With the bike's magic apparently exhausted, Jack gives the bike to another child. The magic seems to return for that child, suggesting the power transfers to others who need it.
