A routine journey takes a harrowing turn for motorist Jane Lindstrom when a tire blowout forces her to seek help at a remote, imposing estate. Owned by the polite yet inscrutable Caligari, the mansion promises sanctuary, but offers only a gilded cage. Jane quickly discovers that the rules of the outside world do not apply here; she is prevented from leaving, cut off from communication, and drawn into a web of psychological manipulation where every question from her host feels like a test she is destined to fail.
