In 1994, four photojournalists – Greg, Joao, Kevin, and Ken – documented the turbulent reality of South Africa’s first multiracial elections. Known as the Bang Bang Club, they risked their lives to capture the violence and chaos unfolding during this historic period. Their powerful and often harrowing images earned them a collective Pulitzer Prize, exposing the nation’s struggles to the world. However, the relentless pursuit of truth and the constant exposure to danger took a heavy toll, leading to professional success intertwined with profound personal tragedies and irreversible consequences.
