Following the end of apartheid, South Africa established the Truth and Reconciliation Commission to address the injustices of the past. This documentary explores the experiences of South Africans – both those who committed acts and those who suffered – as they participate in a process of confession and potential amnesty. Guided by the compassionate leadership of Bishop Desmond Tutu, the film offers a powerful look at a nation striving for healing and reconciliation after a period of profound division and suffering.
