Terror at Tenkiller

Tor, a marina worker, murders Denise by slitting her throat during a night at Lake Tenkiller. He then disposes of her body by dumping it into the lake. The crime marks the first ripple of violence that jolts the quiet town.

Leslie and Janna drive to Janna's family cabin near Lake Tenkiller to spend their summer vacation. Leslie hopes the trip will help her escape an emotionally abusive fiancé, Josh. They settle in and begin their lake-side escape.

Shortly after the women's arrival, Tor begins stalking Debbie, another waitress. He attacks and kills her in her hot tub, leaving the incident to ripple through the local hangouts. The cleansing routine of the town is shadowed by fear and suspicion.

Tor catches his lecherous boss, Preacher, spying on the women and attacks him. He stabs Preacher and then dismembers the body outside Janna's home. The brutal act escalates the killer's violence and danger to those nearby.

Following Debbie's disappearance, Charlie offers Leslie a temporary job at The Cove, with Janna joining as well. The sisters-in-law begin working together as normal life continues around the lake. The crime spree remains unchecked but somehow normalized in the town.

Leslie and Janna begin to trust Tor as he socializes with them and fits into their lake-town circle. His charming demeanor masks a dangerous undercurrent that becomes increasingly hard to ignore. The line between acquaintance and threat starts to blur.

Meanwhile, Josh's calls to Leslie intensify, coming from the cabin and the diner. The pressure heightens her sense of wanting distance from him. The repeated interruptions add tension as the body count climbs nearby.

Late one afternoon, Janna goes to tan by the lake and falls asleep on the dock. Tor arrives by boat and, after inviting himself into the cabin, murders her while she washes her hair in the kitchen sink. The loss devastates Leslie and marks a turning point in the terror.

When Leslie returns from her closing shift, she finds Janna's body in a boat on the dock and assumes Josh has killed her. The assumption is soon complicated as Tor's presence becomes more evident. Fear and confusion swirl as she grapples with what just happened.

Tor consoles Leslie after Janna's death, but soon reveals that he was the killer. He claims he believed Janna was corrupting Leslie, showing a chilling justification for his violence. The revelation shatters Leslie's trust in the illusion of safety.

In a panic, Leslie slashes Tor across the face with a set of keys and escapes. She hides in the cabin basement, only to uncover the dismembered remains of Preacher, confirming his murder. The terror culminates in a claustrophobic confrontation with the killer.

Leslie returns to the living room to find Josh seated in a chair, only to learn that Tor has already murdered him. The circle of victims expands to include Leslie's fiancé, sealing the danger that surrounds her. The home becomes a trap as the killer's net tightens.

Tor incapacitates Leslie and carries her to his boat, taking her out onto the lake. He begins rowing away, illustrating his intent to drag the massacre across the water. The fight for survival enters a new, silent phase on the dark lake.

Leslie awakens during the voyage, knocks Tor overboard, and he drowns in the lake. She swims to the shore, having escaped the immediate threat. The immediate danger seems to pass as she gains the land and air once more.

In voice-over, Leslie contemplates the legend of the Native American maiden and whether it explains the events. The final shot shows Tor leaping from the water, brandishing a knife, leaving his fate ominous and unresolved. The mythic undertone hangs over the conclusion as Leslie looks toward an uncertain future.
