As a child, Priya loses her parents. A will declares her wealth will go to an orphanage if a beneficiary harms her before 21. Ramanathan, the deceased father's brother, poses as a loving uncle to gain control. Priya grows up in Ooty under his careful watch with her wealthy maternal grandparents.

Raja and Ranjith, two petty thieves from Coimbatore, rob a bank to end their misery. Ramanathan is inside the bank and is impressed by their audacity. The heist fails and the duo is arrested, setting the stage for a darker bargain.

Ramanathan bails the thieves out and offers them a deadly assignment: kill Priya as she approaches 21. They refuse this first offer, then try another burglary at a financier's house. The financier is found dead, and Ramanathan uses photos of the crime to coerce them into working for him.

The men travel to Ooty and are installed as caretaker and manager of Priya's house, effectively making them insiders. They begin their risky plan to target Priya but mask their true intent. Priya remains unaware of their role.

Multiple assassination attempts fail to harm Priya. During one attempt, she saves Raja with her saree on a cliff, and reveals she loves him. Raja learns from a watchman that Ramanathan killed Priya's parents, turning his plan toward revenge against his boss.

Shaken by Priya's confession and the truth about her parents, Raja switches sides and begins to thwart Ramanathan's schemes. He aligns with Priya and the watchman to expose Ramanathan's crimes. The romance deepens even as danger looms.

Priya's grandfather uncovers Raja and Ranjith's criminal past. In retaliation, the men manipulate the situation and have the police shoot him in the neck, rendering him speechless.

Ramanathan engineers a poisonous plot at Priya's birthday cake, and tries to frame Raja for the danger. He also reveals to the mute grandfather that Raja is innocent.

During the party, Priya's grandfather devours the tainted cake to save Priya, while Raja is framed and driven out of the house. Raja returns soon after to reclaim Priya and prepare for a final confrontation.

Raja kidnaps Priya and fights Ramanathan in a tense pursuit. Ramanathan lays out his entire scheme to Priya as the battle rages. Injured Raja returns and ultimately saves Priya, ending Ramanathan's threat.

With the threat neutralized, Ramanathan is given an ultimatum: never return to Ooty or be killed, and he retreats into the forest. Raja and Priya survive and start anew.

Raja and Priya choose to live together, with Ranjith as the new house manager. Their relationship marks a fresh start away from Ramanathan's machinations, in a house overseen by their ally.
