Tamagotchi: The Movie

Mametchi finishes the Transporter Machine on Tamagotchi Planet, while Tanpopo prepares for her Earth-bound delivery. An unintended test pulls Tanpopo through the device and she ends up on Tamagotchi Planet, starting a crossover adventure. The moment marks the start of a quest to fix the machine and reunite the two worlds.

The transporter misfires publicly as Memetchi and Kuchipatchi watch. Tanpopo is transported from Earth to Tamagotchi Planet in view of the planet’s residents. The arrival triggers curiosity and sets the stage for a clash of worlds.

The next day Tanpopo attends school with Mametchi, Memetchi, Kuchipatchi, and the Tamagotchi children. During science class, an explosion erupts, enveloping the room in smoke and darkness. The incident shakes the students and reveals Mametchi’s timid reaction to fear.

Later, in a restaurant, Mametchi confesses that he has been afraid of the dark since a childhood accident. He admits he worries about becoming an embarrassment to his younger sibling. The moment deepens his resolve to seek a light that won’t go out.

Motivated by his fear, Mametchi vows to create a private sun to light his world. He begins experiments toward MameSunnytchi, a tiny sun that can follow him and provide constant illumination. This marks the start of a long, hopeful project.

PapaMametchi entrusts Tanpopo with a key that can take her back to the moment she was forwarded to Tamagotchi Planet. The key offers a chance to revisit past decisions and perhaps influence the future. After several events unfold, a mysterious egg appears that will reshape the journey.

An egg rolls out of a window and travels through the streets, eventually landing in a cluster of balloons atop a tall tower. The Tamagotchi Planet crowd watches Mametchi race to save the egg, which finally hatches into his sister ChaMametchi. The moment adds a new member to the family.

ChaMametchi grows to kindergarten age as Mametchi finally achieves his dream of MameSunnytchi, a little sun that will follow him and share light. Sunnitchi witnesses this achievement and acknowledges the new companion. The rocket bound for Tanpopo’s ascent is also nearing completion.

The rocket to take Tanpopo back to Earth is completed, and preparations for the King’s birthday celebrations begin. Mametchi asks Tanpopo to stay for the birthday, a request approved by their parents. The planet glows with the promise of shared joy.

The next morning Tamagotchi Planet is shrouded in darkness as Sunnitchi is missing. The world grows cold without heat, and its inhabitants suffer. The discovery that Sunnitchi left a goodbye note makes Mametchi feel responsible for the crisis.

Mametchi secretly launches the rocket with MameSunnytchi aboard to retrieve Sunnitchi and save Tamagotchi Planet. A video call with PapaMametchi interrupts the mission, and ChaMametchi’s interference disrupts the course. To save the ship, the crew must awaken Blackholetchi by shouting through the ship’s systems.

The crew awakens Blackholetchi and returns to Tamagotchi Planet just in time as Sunnitchi restores light to the world. A birthday parade unfolds, and Cometchi offers to take Tanpopo back to Earth. Tanpopo returns to her desk, finds the dress in the bag, and wonders if the entire journey was real—months later she receives a letter from Mametchi and ChaMametchi and replies mentally, acknowledging the baby that awaits.
