Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight

On a desolate road in New Mexico, a fierce demon known as The Collector relentlessly pursues drifter Frank Brayker. Their encounter escalates with a violent crash that forces Brayker to make a hasty escape.

After the crash, Brayker is aided by Uncle Willy, a local drunk, who brings him to a boarded-up church that now serves as a boarding house. Here, he meets a diverse group of residents, each with their own struggles and stories.

A misogynistic cook named Roach barges into the boarding house, accusing Brayker of attempting to steal his boss's vehicle. The situation grows tense as Irene decides to contact the sheriff for assistance.

Sheriff Tupper and his deputy Bob confront The Collector at the accident scene. The Collector cunningly deceives them into believing Brayker is a dangerous criminal, resulting in his arrest.

Tension escalates dramatically when The Collector murders Sheriff Tupper by brutally piercing his skull. This shocking act ignites fear and chaos among the townsfolk and the residents of the boarding house.

Using a key-like artifact gifted to him, Brayker harnesses its power to protect the boarding house. He spills blood from the artifact in the sand, summoning a horde of demonic entities intent on breaching their sanctuary.

The Collector uses his psychic abilities to seduce and possess Cordelia, a resident at the boarding house. This results in a terrifying turn of events as she turns on her neighbors, ultimately leading Brayker to end her life to protect the group.

As the group tries to escape through old mine tunnels beneath the boarding house, Jeryline discovers a frightened boy named Danny hiding there. The group's safety is soon threatened by townsfolk who have succumbed to demonic control.

In a moment of desperation, Brayker reveals the history of the key artifact to the residents. He explains its significance as the final key necessary to restore the demons' dominion, linking it to a dark lineage of guardians throughout history.

Roach makes a risky deal with The Collector, trading his life for the key, only to be betrayed and killed. The stakes are raised as chaos ensues within the boarding house, mingling desperation with treachery.

As the battle climaxes, Irene and Bob heroically sacrifice themselves to fend off the demonic minions. Their bravery creates a momentary distraction, giving Brayker a chance to reclaim the key amidst the unfolding chaos.

In a final confrontation, The Collector ensnares Danny and mortally wounds Brayker. However, Jeryline manages to retaliate, killing The Collector, yet the quest for the key remains perilously unending.

As Brayker succumbs to his injuries, he initiates Jeryline as the new guardian of the key. In this moment, he also deactivates the blood seals, leaving the remaining residents vulnerable in the continuing fight.

The Collector overpowers Jeryline, claiming the key for himself after offering her a position at his side. However, Jeryline bravely confronts him and manages to force him back into his demonic form for a final showdown.

With dawn breaking, Jeryline rejuvenates the key with Brayker's blood and boards a bus, locking the door behind her. As she prepares to move on, she encounters a mysterious stranger who resembles The Collector, hinting at the cycle beginning anew.
