He seeks to live a good life in the time he has left and trains Ah-Chi in a unique kung fu style. He develops loyalty to his rival and ultimately dies honorably after a final duel.

The Cult Leader is Shao-Feng's father and the head of a faction within the wulin. He reveals that Shao-Feng has died 36 days earlier, setting the stage for Yen Shisan to seek his rival. He embodies the old guard and the legacy that haunts their world.
