Voke’s journey with black magic begins early, as his parents, who are experts in the occult, perform rituals to protect and empower him. This magic grants him supernatural senses and invulnerability, but also creates emotional distance from his parents. After a series of tragic events—including Lolu’s kidnapping, her ritualistic death, and the loss of his relationship with Chisom—Voke becomes a paranormal investigator, determined to uncover the truth behind these dark events.

As he investigates the murder of an executive at the Thompson Group, Voke uncovers connections to black magic rituals and a series of planned killings linked to a powerful cult. His suspicion focuses on Leke Thompson, a disgruntled company heir, but even after he’s caught and killed by a masked assassin, the mystery deepens. Voke is seriously injured defending Chisom, and with her help, he manages to confront and kill the killer, who ultimately turns out to be Rogba—a close friend transformed by dark magic and revenge.

In a shocking twist, Voke learns from a voodoo priest that Rogba didn’t truly die after falling from the cliff. Instead, he was rescued and manipulated by Onajite, who helped him regain his memories of Lolu’s murder and her own involvement in a sinister cult that sacrificed innocent girls to a primordial evil for profit. Rogba, who had lost his memories and was promised a new life, was driven to kill the culprits to free Lolu’s spirit. Voke, realizing the truth too late, decides bravely to confront the cult and the remaining mastermind.

Voke eventually tracks down Chisom, who reveals herself as part of the cult and confesses her tragic family history. Feeling betrayed and enraged, Voke kills her to stop her from making further sacrifices, liberating Lolu’s spirit. Just as the spirit of the girl begins to find peace, a powerful voodoo entity—possibly Papa Legba or Baron Samedi—appears before Voke. This entity explains that it was behind the entire scheme, manipulating events from the shadows to eventually control Voke, using his unique powers for its own ends. It had orchestrated Rogba’s survival, the murders, and even Voke’s injuries, all to lure him into its influence.

In the end, Voke is left aware that he is now an unwitting pawn of this malevolent voodoo god. The entity hints that it will call on Voke again in the future, and the film closes with the implication that Voke’s life is now intertwined with dark, ancient powers, leaving his fate uncertain. The revelation that the powerful voodoo figure secretly manipulated everything suggests that Voke’s battle with darkness is far from over, setting up the potential for future conflict and a possible continuation of his story.
