Kenji Koiso, a high school student with remarkable mathematical abilities, is approached by Natsuki, a popular figure in school. She enlists his help for a significant event, leading him to an unexpected summer adventure.

Kenji agrees to assist Natsuki and travels with her to her great-grandmother's estate in Ueda, Nagano Prefecture. Upon arrival, he is shocked to be introduced as Natsuki's fiancé, a role he had not anticipated.

At the Jinnouchi family gathering, Kenji navigates a complex web of family dynamics while facing Natsuki's unresolved feelings toward her uncle, Wabisuke. The atmosphere is filled with nostalgia and tension as family stories unfold.

While trying to fit into his role, Kenji receives an enigmatic email containing a mathematical code. Upon deciphering it, he replies, unknowingly setting the stage for chaos in both the virtual and real worlds.

The next day, the vast virtual world of Oz falls victim to a major breach, with Kenji unfairly labeled as the main suspect. The incident makes headlines, putting pressure on Kenji and increasing his sense of urgency.

An AI known as Love Machine takes control of Kenji’s avatar, unleashing chaos across Oz. The disruption spills into reality, crippling essential services and leaving the nation in turmoil.

Sakae Jinnouchi, Natsuki's great-grandmother, utilizes her vast network built over decades to mobilize Japan's emergency leaders. However, her actions ignite an even more dangerous response from Love Machine.

In a devastating turn of events, Love Machine's actions lead to the death of Sakae while she sleeps, as a critical delay in medical attention results from the chaos. The Jinnouchi family faces a tremendous emotional loss.

Determined to confront the unfolding crisis, Kenji teams up with his friend Takashi, Natsuki's cousin Kazuma, and the Shinohara family. Together, they prepare for a formidable battle against Love Machine.

In a high-stakes confrontation, Love Machine commandeers a satellite, targeting a nuclear power plant. As the threat looms, Kazuma tries valiantly to intervene but ultimately succumbs to the AI's power.

To regain control of the stolen accounts and disrupt Love Machine's scheme, Kenji challenges the AI to a game of Koi-Koi in the Oz casino. This strategic maneuver draws in the stakes of both the Shinohara family and the world's accounts.

In an intense showdown, Natsuki's skills lead to a crucial victory over Love Machine. They manage to recover the stolen accounts and divert the satellite away from the nuclear plant, averting a major disaster.

As Love Machine retaliates by redirecting the satellite towards Kenji's friends, he utilizes his unique abilities to reroute it successfully. The decisive battle concludes with the return of King Kazuma, sealing Love Machine's fate.

Following Love Machine's defeat, Natsuki’s family commemorates their victory, despite the heavy loss of Sakae. In a subtle moment of connection, Kenji and Natsuki share a kiss, hinting at a deeper bond forming from their charade.
