Stuart Little 3: Call of the Wild

Stuart Little Michael J. Fox and his family trade Manhattan’s comforts for a camping trip near Lake Garland, where the forest holds more mysteries than they expected. There, Stuart crosses paths with Reeko Wayne Brady, a skunk who isn’t welcome among the forest animals, and hears rumors about “The Beast” Virginia Madsen, a cougar that stalks the woods each night. The tension between the curious, bustling Littles and the wild, wary woods sets the stage for the adventures to come.

On a family hike, Stuart’s younger brother George Little Corey Padnos shines in the Lake Scouts, while Brooke Tara Strong, a fellow Scout, catches his eye. George proves to be fearless and capable, and he finds a kind of acceptance with the troop that Stuart secretly craves. Yet Stuart struggles to keep up with his peers, and Troopmaster Peter MacNicol Bickle’s stern gaze makes him feel even more out of place. The dynamic within the family and the campouts reveals the divide between human rules and animal freedom, a theme that threads through the entire journey.

Despite his initial misgivings, Reeko tries to teach Stuart the language of the forest and even invites him to dinner with the Littles. A fragile friendship blossoms as trust grows between Stuart and the skunk, but the forest’s delicate balance is threatened when Reeko’s hunger for power leads him astray. The situation comes to a head when Reeko tricks Snowbell Kevin Schon into wandering deeper into the trees, and Snowbell vanishes. The discovery of Reeko’s involvement drives Stuart to venture into the wilderness alone, driven by a determination to bring Snowbell back safely.

Back at camp, Mrs. Little Geena Davis learns of Stuart’s disappearance and rallies a search party with the scouts. The expedition presses on, driven by a blend of parental concern and kid-powered courage, while Stuart faces rugged terrain and his own self-doubt. He manages to locate Snowbell and devise a plan to outsmart The Beast, attempting a trap hidden beneath a layer of sticks and leaves. The plan teeters on the edge as fate seems to tilt in The Beast’s favor, but Reeko arrives with a chorus of forest animals who, despite earlier misgivings, join the effort. Together, they help Stuart and the search team close in on Snowbell and bring the danger to a final confrontation.

The Beast is ultimately defeated, and human intervention ensures the predator is removed from the forest—taken away to a zoo—while Snowbell is saved. In the aftermath, Stuart earns a gold kerchief from Troopmaster Bickle for his perseverance and teamwork, marking a symbolic recognition of his growth. As the Littles begin to pack up and head back to Manhattan, Reeko offers a heartfelt apology for his earlier behavior, admitting that betraying Stuart was a mistake. The film closes on a quiet farewell between Stuart and the skunk, a moment of mutual respect and newfound friendship, before the Little family returns home to the familiar rhythms of city life.
