Pop, a security guard at Paramount Studios, has convinced his son he runs the studio. When the son arrives in Hollywood on leave with friends, Pop enlists the studio’s switchboard operator to keep up the charade. Complications arise when Pop must stage a Navy‑sponsored musical with Paramount’s top stars, turning the ruse into a full production.
