Standing Up

One evening at summer camp, a young boy falls victim to a cruel prank by his peers. They strip him naked and leave him on an isolated island in a lake, abruptly subjecting him to humiliation.

As they swim away from the island, they discover another cabin nearby. Inside, they find some ill-fitting clothes that provide them with a sense of comfort, helping them to cover their initial nudity.

Meanwhile, camp officials begin to realize that Howie and Grace have gone missing. They choose to search for the pair, concerned about their safety as they navigate the same paths as other campers who faced similar hazing.

Howie and Grace eventually encounter a more welcoming camp, where they are embraced by fellow children their age. They find solace and camaraderie, allowing them to bond over their shared experiences.

Tensions escalate when an older boy develops an inappropriate interest in Grace. This culminates in a confrontation that ultimately strengthens the bond and confidence of Howie and Grace as they support each other.
