Henry Matthews Uriah Shelton lives in a quiet Alabama town with his parents, William Matthews Dash Mihok and Lisa Matthews Nicki Aycox. His father is a garage mechanic who also serves in the Reserves, while his mother battles addiction despite being clean for more than a year. Henry is a middle-schooler who endures after-school bullying, finding solace in the Baptist Church where Pastor John Ruben Studdard discovers a rare gift: Henry’s singing talent as they play the church piano together.
