As a child, Heera is treated as a servant due to his illiteracy and kept away from family decisions. He endures neglect from his father and status-conscious relatives. His mother Sharda and Mindra the family servant provide the only warmth in his early life.

Days before the wedding, Radha arrives and mistakenly treats Heera as a mere servant, sending him on errands. The incident underscores the rigid class divide within Bhanupratap’s household. Heera remains largely invisible to most of his own family.

On the wedding day Radha learns that Heera is Bhanupratap’s son. She becomes curious about his past and asks Mindra to tell her more. The revelation unsettles the ceremony and reshapes everyone’s expectations.

Years earlier, Heera struggled in school and still visited Gauri, the girl Bhanupratap adopted. When a teacher beats Gauri, Heera quits studying to protect her. Bhanupratap then sends Gauri to a boarding school to ensure her education.

Growing up, Bhanupratap arranges Heera’s marriage to Gauri. Gauri, unwilling to wed an illiterate man, attempts suicide. Heera saves her but takes the blame, and Bhanupratap misreads this as lust, deepening his hatred for Heera.

Gauri later marries a wealthy man, moving out of Heera’s life and leaving Bhanupratap’s anger unresolved. The disruption of Gauri’s chapter does not soften the father’s hostility toward Heera. The family’s past continues to haunt Heera’s present.

Radha proposes marriage to Heera and he accepts. Simultaneously, Deshraj Thakur schemes to ruin Bhanupratap by marrying Radha to his own son Arjun. He pressures Bhanupratap to separate Radha from Heera to protect his own interests.

On the wedding day, Heera elopes with Radha, and Bhanupratap disowns him. The couple finds shelter at Mindra’s house on the village outskirts. This rupture marks a turning point in their lives and sets them on separate paths.

Heera works as a labourer in a transport company and later starts his own business with money borrowed from Radha’s uncle, Ranjeet. He names the company after Bhanupratap and gradually earns wealth and respect in Bharatpur. Radha becomes his partner as she forges ahead in her own career.

Radha clears the UPSC examination and becomes an IAS officer. The couple also has a son named Sonu, in memory of Heera’s father. Yet Bhanupratap’s hatred continues to shadow Heera’s triumphs.

Heera fulfills his father’s dream of building a hospital for the poor. At the inauguration, he publicly credits Bhanupratap, believing the rejection taught him self-reliance. Bhanupratap, secretly listening nearby, begins to reconsider his stance.

Bhanupratap secretly spends time with his grandson Sonu outside school, signaling a softening in his attitude toward Heera’s line. Heera, watching this change, asks Sonu to bring some kheer for his 'friend' the next time they meet. The plan hints at rebuilding trust but remains fragile.

Sharda pleads with Bhanupratap to reconcile with Heera, stressing the family’s need to heal old wounds. Bhanupratap is torn, and his guilt weighs heavily on him. He tries to call Heera, but the moment is interrupted by mounting concerns.

Before the reconciliation can take full hold, Bhanupratap collapses after coughing blood and is hospitalized. Deshraj’s men assault Heera and scheme to frame him for poisoning Bhanupratap. The danger forces the family to confront Deshraj’s treachery head-on.

Bhanupratap recovers and exposes Deshraj’s crime, while the confrontation with Deshraj’s henchmen solidifies Heera and Bhanupratap’s bond. The family units comes together once more, with Bhanupratap embracing Heera in front of all their relatives. A long-awaited reconciliation finally settles over Bharatpur.
